MY STORY
My name is Jessica, I am the creator of Hudson Candle Co. Established in 2020.

I am a mama to 4 precious babes - 3 on earth, and 1 in heaven. Being their mom is my greatest role in life. They are my love, my light, my struggle, and my PURPOSE.
I am a hairstylist by trade, and an entrepreneur at heart. I take pride in my work, and it is one of my ways to channel my creative side. Busy is my way of life. As much as I think I would love a day to sit still - I simply can’t! I THRIVE on being busy. So why not start up another venture to keep me busy?!
I started Hudson Candle Co. while being isolated at home during the start of the 2020 pandemic. I was looking for something extra to do on the side as it was clear I couldn’t go back to work as a hairstylist for awhile.
Do you ever have a thought or idea, and everything just comes together so nicely? My VISION is clear. I believe everything happens for a reason, and this is a part of my purpose in life - I can feel that I am going in the right direction with this.
We donate $1 from each candle sold to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK to help families in need. It brings me SO much joy to be able to give back in this way.

Our son, Hudson was born sleeping on July 25th, 2014. Our hearts broke and we will never be the same.
Honouring him in this way has been remarkably healing for me. Seeing his name everywhere has made me feel SO proud. Proud to be his mom. Proud that the devastation of losing him has inspired me to do something to help other families going through what we went through.
Part of my heart and soul is poured into these candles. Our candles have a story - and I feel that is what makes them so darn special. They are made with SO much love
